Flame resistant? Fire retardant? FLAME retardant? Just plain ol’ “FR.” There are way too many terms that fit under the umbrella of “FR.” Many people use these terms interchangeably. If we want to be sticklers for correct grammar–and why would we bring up the subject if we weren’t going to be sticklers–we would say that “resistant” and “retardant” reference two different parts of speech and are therefore completely separate and not interchangeable. You’ll have to watch the short video to find out the detail, though!
